These unit standards will give you the keys skills you will need for a job in a food or hospitality industry.

Subjects

Learn about making food that is safe to eat and preventing food poisoning (that is, any illness or disease caused by eating unsafe food). Learn about the different types of contamination (chemicals, foreign objects and germs) and about how to produce safe food. This includes correct handling and storage procedures, good cleaning methods, and controlling the temperature of food.
Learn about the different types of delicatessen products, how to handle and store them, and how to set up the displays and cabinets. Read about the skills needed to provide give good customer service in the delicatessen.
